Invited by Nespresso to visually interpret this years Nordic theme to customers worldwide
On a series of limited edition capsules, sleeves, packaging, bags, windows etc
Quite the challenge. What is Nordic? How visualise this vast and varied collection of cultures? Through an illustration of our love of and close proximity to nature on all scales, of course.
Basing all designs on height curves found in maps of the Nordic countries gives a multitude of layers suitable for hinting at the many complex layers of the Nordic cultures, layers of scent and taste in the chosen Nespresso flavours, and a freedom of scale perfectly suited for use on both the tiny capsules and in large flagship store windows.
